Service Enriched Housing Program

The Brattleboro Service Enriched Housing (SEH) Program is a collaborative interagency venture, established in 1993 to help people successfully make the transition from homelessness to housing stability and long-term self sufficiency. The Program involves the united efforts of Morningside Emergency Shelter and the Brattleboro Area Community Land Trust.

The Service Enriched Housing Program provides homeless families and individuals longer-term affordable housing within newly renovated apartments, and a special network of support services. These services are provided by the many agencies and organizations that currently serve the Brattleboro area. Program services include, but are not limited to:

  • Job placement & training
  • Crisis intervention
  • Household financial budgeting
  • Parenting services
  • Substance abuse control & prevention
  • Educational counseling
  • Housing placement & counseling
  • Children's services

The SEH advocate meets with resident families and individuals in their homes regularly and provide ongoing case management, including facilitating access to available services which meet their specific needs, and which empower them to achieve long- term housing stability and positive life changes.
