Morningside Shelter Begins Capital Campaign!

June 2004 - Morningside Shelter is undertaking a $100,000 capital campaign to raise funds for expansion of its Brattleboro facility.
Formerly a barn at 87 Morningside Road, the current structure was converted to office space and an apartment a few years ago and will be converted entirely to living space, adding another three to five beds.

The renovations will expand the front office to make room for the shelter staff and there will also be space for a children's activity room.

In recent years, the number of families with children entering the shelter has increased and the renovations will allow for better accommodation to this population.

Morningside staff continues to provide comprehensive case management in the community with programs that support formerly homeless individuals and families as well as those vulnerable to becoming homeless.

Donations for the capital campaign can be made by sending a tax-deductible contribution to Morningside Shelter, P.O. Box 367, Brattleboro, VT 05302. Morningside Shelter is a United Way agency.
